Is it just my impression or are people getting more greedy along the years?
I can understand the difficulties related to the economic situations all over the world (especially in my country) and the increase of poverty and misery that are everywhere around us!
But I'm not mentioning only the people who struggle to get a job or freelance. I'm talking about people who have their jobs but are at risk of losing them because of really bad administration from the owners.
Some act as Uncle Scrooge Mc Duck!
I've been wondering recently about greediness and ambition..... was wondering if they have the same meaning, they can be used in an incorrect way sometimes.
I'll write down the definitions in order not to have my text misunderstood. Wait a sec...
I found an interesting image that illustrates the difference between them:
See? There's a big difference! I love learning about the meaning of the words... actually of everything! Even knowing that sometimes it's just a matter of feeling and not the real meaning that matters.
Do you consider yourself ambitious?
Have you ever felt embarrassed in saying that your ambition is to have a big house and a nice car in your garage because other people could judge you as selfish?
That's not selfishness! If you work hard and get the money for what you wish for... what's the problem? Ambition can and will motivate you, me, everyone!
Differently from greediness which makes people selfish and mean. I say mean because they don't care if they will cause any damage to others. They only want and want and want aaaaaand want what belongs to others but without effort damaging, especially, their emotional conditions.
The stress caused is huge! And we can get ill, depressed, anxious, etc.
Do you know greedy people? And ambitious people?
I know both!
Let's become more attentive to notice these people's actions? How about that?
Life would be so much simpler, easier and cooler if everyone was like Alladin with their own rugs and not wishing the others'.
